Intel device plugins are implemented according to K8s device plugin specification and deployed as KuD addon plugin in ICN to support both software and hardware acceleration (include network acceleration) in edge location. Below Intel device plugins will be included in ICN:
- SRIOV: discovering and advertising SRIOV network virtual functions (VFs) in edge location node
- QAT (Intel(R) QuickAssist Technology): discovering and advertising QAT devices virtual functions in edge location node
- GPU: discovering and advertising Intel GPU in edge location node
- FPGA: discovering and advertising Intel FPGA devices in edge location node
