- The Akraino has an "upstream first" policy. Exceptions of this policy must be reviewed by the Upstream Sub-committee and approved by the TSC.
- All Akraino Blueprints or Feature projects that contribute to upstream projects must complete the Upstream Dependency Matrix for their respective projects. And if a new upstream project is added to the Akraino for the first time, also complete the Upstream Project List table.
- When multiple blueprints/projects depend on and/or contribute to a shared upstream, coordination of their work is strongly encouraged. The coordinated work flow should be documented and published in the Upstream Sub-committee wiki so that it is open and transparent, and enables all Akraino community members to contribute when they have the need.
