- Currently PCEI, KubeEdge don't solve or provide the last mile connectivity, and assumes it as existing
- RuralEdge target areas don't have 3G/4G/5G connections
- For 2G/3G Areas we are exploring Private LTE solution to resolve the last mile network
- Oleg from PCEI Team suggested that Private LTE is the only option where 4G/5G network is not available to keep latency <30ms
- Abhishek has deployed K8 using x86 EC2 instances
Next Step :
- Abhishek will deploy new k8/EKS cluster on ARM instances
- Surojit will deploy RE Video Bridge on Jetson Nano and test over local WiFi
- Biswajit will work with PCEI to architect the network solution for the cases listed below :
- Where no network is available (Private LTE, Wifi with no overlay with Public Network)
- Where 2G/3G Public Network is available
- Where 4G Public Network is available
- No 5G solution required. 5G will solve the network latency

- PCIE Outpost meeting was cancelled. Need to follow up with Matt to get advise on RE use of Outpost

- Surojit Deployed Video Bridge on Jetson Nano board as POC. Need a strategy to test.
- Surojit and Abhishek working on splitting the apps into modular components for edge distribution
- Need to create a new repo in Gerrit for Release 5
- Also need to start publishing logs (CICD same as in )
